I think that is always the editorially correct way to write the PRC in Bahasa Indonesia. Calling it Tiongkok always feels weird unless the context is referring to the ancient homeland of the Chindos. I think it is also weird to refer to non Chinese citizens as Tionghoa. It should be “orang Cina”.
