Typical white line fever against the Tier 1 teams. Just need to do the simple things well. Think we over complicate things when we could just pick and go.

Our kicking was poor and we just invited pressure upon pressure. It might have been different if Kyle Rowe had been able to score when he kicked through, but we just couldn’t get even the slightest foothold in the game.

Pleased for the lad, but surely Glasgow would have been a better destination as Ashman and Cherry are the first picks, and Jonny Matthews and Grant Stewart are off the radar. And Hiddleston looks a prospect, but he too is a bit green for International at present.

It’s the mental aspect of it. I just don’t t get how these players can be so flaky. And it’s happened consistently for the last 10 years.Townsend clearly has no idea how to rectify it. Which is why I think his time is up. Insanity is repeating your mistakes and hoping for a different result.

Yeah, he really is. I’m just going on the tradition of it being a forward. Or at least the perceived wisdom that a forward is in a better position to influence the ref. When Finn is captain, his game seems to go a bit awry. If Sione was there it wouldn’t be a problem.

Losing Cummings was a massive blow. None of our second rows seem to have that grunt that we need. Gilchro is solid enough but they never seem to make metres. Williamson looks like he may be the real deal and hopefully Jare when he has a bit more rugby under his belt.

You’d have thought. TBH, I never much liked the co-captaincy thing anyway. Just causes uncertainty I think. I’d rather they just gave it to Darge and let Finn concentrate on doing Finn things…

Ritchie fell away for a few seasons after injuries but then came back into a decent run of form towards the end, so hopefully this is just a blip and he’ll get back to the player he once was.

Ahh, fair enough, but you’d think there would have been some plan of who takes over when both captains are off, but we were all at sea.

We’d already lost Darge and the appeared to be no captaincy once Finn left. Certainly no one was directing the forwards. The passing up of two walk in tries for the backs by picking and driving proved that.

Massive. The drop off was insane, particularly at hooker. Started to get pummeled in the scrum. No idea why he brought Finn off. We were rudderless after that and no leadership with both him and Darge off. Weird decision from the coaches.
