community and human connection are unparalleled joys of the human experience but they come with an inherent risk of disappointment and loss.

i recently lost contact with a bunch of folks i considered friends through another outlet too, so i was hoping to make connections through this other hobby but i guess it's just not supposed to work out sometimes

feeling really burned on this because i wanted to give another shot at finding community through smash and it would've been cool to see people i haven't seen in years but i don't know how close i ever was to these people so maybe it doesn't matter anyway

washing my already clean sheets just to take the edge off
