I dont understand how anyone could look at that video and possibly reject my Hi-Pressure Blood Theory. It's like a billion times more awesome than any other Hit Point Theory.
sskorkowsky.bsky.social
I mean, which is more awesome, "You twist to the side, the sword blade swinging past, losing 10 points of Luck" or "The sword hits you. A crimson fan of blood sprays a dozen feet, coating everything. You stagger then laugh, "Is that all you got?""

Losing 2 liters (10 HP) is fatal for the average person. Your body has more blood than 2L, but you're already dead.
sskorkowsky.bsky.social
"But HP are a combobulation of Luck, Stamina, & Plot Armor, and dont represent actual damage"
Stirges drink blood. Not Plot Armor or Luck. Blood.
D&D HP are blood.
The higher the character's HP, the more blood they have. The more blood, the higher the PSI.
It's as dumb as any other explanation.
sskorkowsky.bsky.social
OK. Last time.
A D&D Stirge detaches after draining 10 HP of blood. Therefore HP are a measurable unit of blood (I estimate 200ml per HP).

Characters with high HP might have hundreds of liters contained in their bodies at high pressure. Even light nicks tend to spray anime-style.
It's science.

YouTube let's me try up to 3 thumbnails at a time and tells me which is the most effective.
Initially, I loaded 3. Within the first day it was clear one wasn't working for people, so I reduced it to 2. After 6 days, the algorithm tells me.... nothing.
I can only assume they suck equally

The list is, "All Of Them."
I'll review it eventually.

It is a minor spoiler, but it's true. Fucking up ICE assholes is definitely part of this campaign.

Also, God's Teeth has all the Content Warnings.
All. Of. Them.
There were Content Warnings I didn't know should exist until we played this. It's awesome. It's beautiful. It's fucking horrifying.

Taylor Swift announces next album title: The Queen in Yellow. She told Variety: "A few years back I came across this amazing play and I was so inspired. It's been living in my head for years. I even dream of it, of the city in the play."

Nothing at all wrong with that

You're a wannabe cUNT. I graduated from the University of North TX. I'm a 'real' cUNT.

Neverending Story made a huge impression on me as a kid

Yeah, no one has complained that I gave the badguy a 6-ft femme fatale sorceress bodyguard who drew a sword from her mouth. I suppose that's historically accurate.

I knew when I wrote that part into the review script that people would get mad.
But I also know that if I dont remind people they "have permission" to change a published adventure however they'd prefer, they won't realize they can.
So its worth it.

Fun Fact: winning the title of my favorite stupid bullshit comment earns a Block. Fuck that dude.
sskorkowsky.bsky.social
This is my favorite.
Evidently my removing the "Men Only" rule from the made-up club founded by monster-worshiping cultists is "violence against historical authenticity."

It's kinda weird reading hate comments because the Pulp Cthulhu game I played in my house with my friends... <checks notes>... wasn't sexist enough.
I asked my wife if she felt I did her a disservice by not making the game more historically sexist, and she said no.
So, I guess, fuck those haters.

My favorite of Gibson's was Virtual Light. Frank Muller's narration was incredible

There's a Cyberpunk 2077 novel?! Why doesn't anyone tell me these things?

I'm gonna give it a shot. As someone who read both 'The Ravengers' and 'Holo Men,' it can't be the worst.

New RPG Review is up.
Today we're looking at Call of Cthulhu adventure 'The Vanishing Conjurer' from Games Workshop. It's about stage magicians and evil cults in London.
Here's my thoughts, criticisms, and how I changed it to Gaslight Era Pulp for my group. youtu.be/hybUsDT30Cc

Yeah... Graves is a total piece of shit human being. Thankfully, I never got into the Graves era of the Misfits. Gimme the drunk Elvis warble of Danzig any day.
