Missing from the No Kings protest was an "ask". We told them what we don't want, but not what we do want. The rage is there, it's just not focused. We should be rallying around the impeachment flag. It's a disgrace that every Dem rep is not leading the way during their Epstein vacation.

Lesser demons.

True! Another benefit is it slows down the "ordinary business" of the Senate, which is generally mischief these days anyway. And think of the opportunities for on line gambling (when will he pass out?)

Good approach if compromise is needed. Back to the talking filibuster. It didn't go completely of control until you could shut down a bill with no more effort than an email.

The people think you’re an army of cowards? Take your metaphorical sword and put up a fight. Maybe your opponent is a little unstable? Your sword causes him grief and distracts him from burning the countryside. The peasants aren’t aware of his crimes? The flashing sword calls their attention.

Impeachment is like a sword rusted into its scabbard. It hasn’t been used much, so people assume it’s not useful. But when you need a sword and it’s the only weapon you have, maybe you’ll oil it up, sharpen the blade, swing it around some. Test it on some lesser demons. Think of new ways to use it.

Unconscionable, unbelievable, and impeachable?

Was once at a wedding where elderly priest wandered off from saying the wedding mass to the funeral mass. Bride conveniently fainted, rousing the old dude and getting things back on track. Looks familiar.

Haven't really studied up on this deal, but as I understand it Tesla has to meet a bunch of milestones for Musk to collect. If nobody ever buys anything Tesla again, problem solved.

3. Find a way to hide his complicity 4. Intro a new outrage every day to keep the public distracted.

He has nothing to lose. Problem is, outrages are like horror movies. They have to get progressively more shocking to keep audience attention, at which he is a master.

Change the script: Impeach

Would explain much: Trump/Epstein files are so horrible as to be politically unsurvivable.

Four part strategy: 1. Delay their release by keeping the House closed 2. Consolidate hold on power / rig midterms / Insurrection Act so he cannot be dislodged when they become public . . .

The photo is tiny and tells the story by itself, so here's a clearer picture.

"Reagan seated at left; presumably back of Bolan's head seen center left; Rupert Murdoch seated center right; Roy Cohn standing at right." 01/18/1983 (Wiki Commons)

Roy Cohn trained young Trump in the Dark Arts.

For some reason, there seems to be a lot of contention about this. For a deep dive on Reagan, Murdoch, and propaganda, read this:

An interesting take, but it gambles heavily on there being midterm elections and secret police not interfering a year from now.

Anyway, the MAGA cult won't desert him so other than a few dropouts and defectors, there should be plenty of Rs to skewer in the midterms, if that happens.

They're gonna get daily reminders.

Koch Bros Libertarian machine --> Leonard Leo+Federalist+other oligarchs --> SCOTUS. The owners of SCOTUS want free markets (mostly). CEOs want stability. That's why Powell is off limits and tariffs must go. They were waiting for Trump to drown the govt in the bathtub, but now have to act.

Trump cares very much about impeachment and it does not matter if there aren't votes to convict right now. The process of impeachment can be a billboard to show his Treason and High Crimes to a sleeping public. Only a handful of Rs needed to impeach right now. Did yesterday's slap wake them up?
Fear of Losing the Midterms Is Driving Trump’s Decisions
The specter of investigations and impeachment has fueled many of the president’s most dramatic actions.

I don't see how the last 9 months could fail to convince people. The worst thing for the country is for Trump to continue his rampage for another year.
November 5, 2025 at 3:26 PM
You may have noticed the House has closed for Epstein Days, so there's plenty of time. It doesn't cost much for a Rep to walk in after vacation with Articles in hand and demand a vote. When back in session the R House will just re-investigate Benghazi or some other horse shit anyway.
November 5, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Alleluia! Another big voice said the "I" word in public. If all Dems on board, only a handful of Rs required to give Trump Imp 3.0. Seven million No Kings + historic unpopularity + glaring election results will be keeping some swing state R reps awake at night. You'll never convict if you don't imp!

Maybe the last time he was actually in a grocery store was to buy booze when he was underage and they demanded ID. That's all he can remember.

On line propaganda is a smaller piece of the info env, especially among seniors. Murdoch's Fox has been flooding the country with his shit since Reagan. It has no serious competition & decreasing daily. IMO, that's the immune deficiency that allowed MAGA to metastasize, and all that followed.

During Trump 1, my sister in law was taking care of her mother in law in her final days. MIL couldn't talk, barely responsive. Until SIL went to turn the TV channel away from Fox News. MIL went nuts, making noise & flopping around until it was set back, then went back to comatose. That's power.

And we are not impeaching why?
