maybe it'll be easier to get the office lady's attention from the carpet, while she's drinking. maybe you didn't see your friend disappear under that step earlier. maybe things will be okay actually, and the shrinking accident was reversible and it'll all go back to normal soon!

Random shower thought, company hires people to partake in shrinking experiments where your consciousness is “transferred” to a small bio-android of sorts. Experiment finishes but the transfer back to your body works like SOMA and the previous consciousness is still in the small body.
