I was thinking about it, is it happening on inturns or outturns or both. Hand position is different for each. I haven’t watched is it only one camera angle? From watching baseball, we know that one angle can show a tag and another can show that it missed. 🤷🏼♂️

My next question is why would they touch it? To slow the spin? Wouldn’t that risk reducing too much spin? How much would a slight touch with one finger cause to a stone of that weight?

The Olympics officially begin tomorrow with the opening ceremonies, but some events actually started yesterday. Curling, alpine skiing, luge, snowboarding, and women’s hockey. Sometimes timed and round robin events begin early because of timing and availability of facilities.
