I'm not going to link it here. It's not hard to find. You are misrepresenting what the UN investigators say. Over 700 civilians were murdered, including dozens of children. There were rapes. These aren't lies, they are facts, and it's disgusting that you're defending this.

Taking hostages is a war crime actually. And I don't think comparing people dancing at a rave to nazi collaborators is the right move here.

You can find picture of the October 7 attacks if you'd like to see. Children and babies were murdered. So were other civilians. Anyone who would excuse or even celebrate that is an absolute shithead (not "nuanced and empathatic"). Hasan Piker is scum.

You’ve gone off the deep end mate. I’m not excusing the IDF or Netanyahu. That whataboutism. I’m against murdering babies, Hasan Piker is for it and apparently you’re a fan.

I’m sorry dude but this is an insane take. Deliberately targeting civilians, women, children isn’t “war”. It’s terrorism. Whatever you think of Israel’s behavior in this conflict, anyone in favor of this barbarism such as Hasan Poker, is actually an evil scumbag. Fuck that guy.

I think I would draw the line at rape and decapatating babies as “freedom fighters”.

A lot of shitty people are charismatic in carefully chosen clips. He’s also unironically supported terrorism and other pretty extreme positions.

It’s a free speech issue when it’s done so blatantly at the behest of the government.

I hope you’re exited about AI!

I’m pretty sure that suppressors are mandatory in like Norway or something. And I agree, all firearms should be NFA items. It’s not particularly hard to do, but hard enough to limit things to people who actually use it for hunting or sport or whatever.

Wait what? What’s vulkan doing?

That’s some good looking grass though.

TLDR rendering isn’t what’s cool about splats IMO. It’s the optimization part where they shine. We “just” have to find a way to convert to a more easily rendered rep.
May 30, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Some kind of learned spherical function per texel combined with a triangle mesh extracted from splats perhaps?
May 30, 2025 at 9:17 PM
Ie use the super flexible but inefficient representation to find a high quality scene. But then find a way to convert to an efficient representation (possibly with a final optimization pass on material parameters once structure is frozen). No idea what that would look like in practice tbh!
May 30, 2025 at 9:16 PM
I think these kinds of splatting approaches are amazing for the optimization part. And of course you need a way to render to optimize the representation. But IMO it’s a mistake to assume that the final render needs the same representation.

But. Circles have both a circumference and an area. How do they get around pi?

Mous is pretty solid. It s backpack, lots of pockets and two slots for laptops etc. Not huge but enough for a few days of clothes and tech etc.

Oh wait. True Lies is even better.
