Greene: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her speakership in my first term in Congress and I'm very impressed at her ability to get things done. I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for her party."

I want to play #TheOuterWorlds2 - my Game Pass sub started with the first one, after all - but I just don't have the time to find a comfortable home for another 77GB game right now. #DeadStaticDrive clocks in at 2.97GB - that's as good as free. Time for some 80's cosmic horror GTA.

Just scanned a headline "Trump's swift demolition of East Wing may have launched asbestos plumes" but my brain checked in at word two. For a second I was thinking, "Taylor Swift did what now?"

So Johnson would agree that an AI generated video of someone picking up an AR-15, kicking down Trump's door, and shooting him with poo bullets that landed harmlessly as brown paintballs would also be making a satirical point, right? Not something to get flustered about, correct?
Q: What does it say that president released a video of him pooping on the American people?

MIKE JOHNSON: You can argue he's probably the most effective person who has ever used social media. He's using satire to make a point. He's not calling for the murder of his political opponents.

Mad props for keeping it old-school. We don't need AI to trade in falsehoods, misrepresentation, and propaganda! All it takes is a complete lack of morality, empathy, or basic decency, a complicit, lazy, and codependent media, and an uncritical, captured audience! Easy peasy!
A terrific AFP fact check uses reverse image searches to expose how a White House video took scenes from Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Nebraska and lied that they showed "Chicago is in chaos."

PFB impacts (likely substantially) more than 50% of black men and less than 20% of white men.

I can recall zero instances when a soldier's shaving profile impacted their readiness.

Hegseth continues to make our military weaker.

Pentagon says troops can only be exempt from shaving their facial hair for a year
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered that troops who need an exemption from shaving their facial hair for longer than a year should now be kicked out of the service

Honestly, the real tragedy of the last few days has been realizing how long it's been since I've played Helldivers 2. There's a whole new enemy faction now! Crazy.

It's neat that they're rereleasing #Gearsofwar but I'm worried that my current monitor can't display enough shades of brown to really capture the experience.

Been thinking about ICE and masks.

The masks make everything more dangerous. They make it easy to dehumanize the ICE agents and, worse, they make it easy for ICE agents to dehumanize and disassociate themselves. Anonymity helps contempt metastasize into depravity.

Our military is trained to locate, engage, and destroy the enemy. They are very good at their job. We call them "warfighters" for a reason.

You want them on the streets in "big cities." Who is the enemy? What is the war? Who are they fighting? Who do you want destroyed?
Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus on the big cities in America now."

The new #Doom comes in at 70 GB and my first thought is, "huh, that's a pleasant surprise." I simply expect new AAA games to be 90+ GB now. #PCGaming

A little something that I wanted to offer the void...

Relying on anecdotes when we don't like the data and relying on data when we don't like the anecdotes isn't a partisan problem, it's a human problem.

I've got a limerick about Narcissus that's sure to make waves.
There’s always my joke about Sisyphus, but how much longer are we doing this?
I have a joke about Icarus. It's probably not a good idea to tell it, but what's the worst that could happen?

Magical tariff thinking is crazy. Things will not cost "a few dollars more" but will be offset by your "new, better, job." I want to visit the moon and I want my dad to be alive, but none of that shit's happening, either.

My cat's litterbox is currently in the far corner of the office. There is nothing more grounding than engaging in absurd and grandiose pontification only to have your thoughts disturbed by the sound of a cat taking a shit. I get it, everyone's a critic.

Was there some sort of ceremony when everyone in the GOP handed over their testicles?

I feel like the complete abdication of responsibility, dignity, and agency is such a profound act of prostration that it requires similarly profound theatrics.

One minor note, Mr. Kennedy. You misspelled "killed."

Ad company subsidizes TV sales by providing an OS to manufacturers that prioritizes AdTech - just another example of how the modern stratification of "haves" and "have nots" burrows into someone's very identity. You can avoid being tracked, if you can afford it.

Divested myself from news posts over the past few days - as much as is reasonable - and trying to focus elsewhere. It's just not worth the energy to engage. Signal-to-noise is ugly right now and everyone's pet theories are just fairground goldfish.

Hey, remember that time the party of Law and Order elected a rapist and a felon to be the leader of the free world because they're afraid of vaginas and black people? That *sucked.*
