Just before we left on our pure EV lap of Australia, Polestar sent out a film crew to Kangaroo Island to spend a day with us and this is the result.
I think they did a fantastic job and the island looks fantastic in the footage.
Make sure to watch the video component too.

Brook Blue, which comes with a two tone silver roof. All black interior.
Sorry I have not sorted out the charger for you yet, I've got the new one but I brought the old one as back up.

Charging at Port Augusta RAA from 40 to 80 percent. I decided I'll spend the night at Iron Knob campground about an hour away, rather than pushing to Kimba 2 hours away in the dark, although I will miss out on the roadhouse curry. Damn!

Test drove the Zeekr 7X up into the Adelaide hills, then signed on the bottom line and even ordered the licence plates ZEEKR7
Car due in January.
Now heading north with the Polestar just clocking 50,000km.
Charging at Australia's No. 1 charger at Snowtown. Next stop Port Augusta.
WA here we come!

After a couple of nights at the Victor Harbor Times finishing up work, we are charging up to head west.
First though we test drive and order the Zeekr 7X in Adelaide!

Good morning! My old part of the world. Well the Far South Coast that is. Narooma Bermagui to be precise.
stangorton.bsky.social
Yes indeed. Who knows I could be shopping around for another Polestar 2 in a couple of years!
stangorton.bsky.social
Nice. I am sad about leaving Polestar for a Zeekr, for now, but the brand will always be my first love and who knows I could be back in a few years for the new 2 or 3.

And we're off to the mainland, along with several hundred lambs.
Gee they sure pack them onto the SPOKI.
At least the Polestar has pole position!

And off we go to the state of my birth!
Western Australia here we come....

21 inch wheels and air suspension will be interesting.
Would prefer 20s but not sure they fit over the brake calipers.

Yes. Test drives began last week around Australia.
Regardless, I know I want one from watching enough YouTube.

Rescheduled my ferry booking to avoid potential weather on Thursday, so now leaving home two days early on Tuesday to begin a WA road trip in the Polestar, starting with a test drive of the new Zeekr 7X in Adelaide.

Set up my other tent to make sure it's good for the WA road trip after 15 years in storage.
Not sure we are going to cope, as it's already 36 degrees where we are going, while the 27 degrees we had here today was too hot and I'm parked on the couch with the AC on.

Thanks bro! Living the dream for sure!

Thanks man! I know nothing about farming nd sheep but I like the look of the Suffolks with their black faces and legs.
And yes the Polestar does draw some looks but I enjoy explaining the benefits of my clean 220kw over a 300hp oil burner.
stangorton.bsky.social
Almost but not quite 😆
Third biggest after Tassie and Melville, but with only 4500 people!
stangorton.bsky.social
Lol. If the 7X hadn't come along I could have been getting one of these.
Will have to see how it compares.

Popstar my Polestar at another ram sale today.
All 30 Suffolk rams sold for an average price of $1100 each.

It’s not too bad and much less abrasive than your situation.
It’s a big 150km island and the north and east coast where most live is very benign and sheltered.
We do have a lot of dirt roads but they are not terrible.
And no phosphate or salt mines.

Often when I walk past the hotel I think which of the cars parked out front would I take, usually it's none.
But tonight I see my first VW ID4 in the wild, in that same blue silver colour scheme as my new 7X.
And the VW was parked behind a BYD.
