Respect: Bob Uecker, who had a decidedly mediocre career as a major league baseball player and a decidedly marvelous 54-year career as a beloved baseball radio broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers, has passed at age 90.

Let us hope and pray (to whatever deity one chooses) that we did not just hear the last time in our country's history a POTUS gave a farewell address acknowledging their impending relinquishing of power peacefully and as prescribed by law.

I'm tired of politicians getting in front of a microphone and trashing victims of disaster.

I want to hear these privileged assholes tell us what they're going to do to help. I want to hear empathy, plans, and support. That's what they were elected to do.

Otherwise they need to shut the fuck up.

I walked away from FB cold a couple days after 11/5, and have been actively avoiding the news as much as I can.

Joined up here a week ago. Now I've just gotta figger out how to balance my desire to remain informed with my desire to not put my fist thru the screen from what little news I do see.
