Charlie Kirk did not do politics the right way. His entire schtick was goading liberal college kids so he could post clips on his website which said how he "destroyed" liberals. He wasn't interested in having honest debates.

I'm not a fan of Jeffries, and he could have done more to whip the votes, but in the end he can't actually force anyone to vote how he wants them to vote. This one is all on Golden and those other six who gave ICE funding. They chose to give the fascists more money. 206 Dems voted AGAINST it.

Unfortunately there's no mechanism for American political party leaders to kick out members. They can voluntarily leave, but that's all. The only recourse parties have is for the state-level party to refuse to provide election support for those candidates, meaning they won't provide money to them.

Tell that to people of color who are being hunted down by ICE and the Border Patrol. Tell that to Renee Good’s wife and child. I’m sure they’ll all say that what’s been happening to them is totally fine, because you couldn’t vote for an imperfect Dem. Your privilege is showing.

All that would do is get more POC killed.

The president has absolutely no authority over voting. He can issue an EO saying that elections are cancelled, but it has absolutely no weight. He can't send out ICE/military/NG to block every single polling place in the country, because he doesn't have anywhere near the number to do that.

Trump will just fire Lonnie Bunch and replace him with one of Trump’s stooges.

Justin Wolfers was just on Molly Jong-Fast's podcast and said that the markets aren't actually doing that well. Here it is: youtu.be/vDhQokqp3Yk?...

Hillary Clinton hasn't been in Congress since 2012, and therefore can't vote for anything. There are plenty of other people to go after aside from her.

I had that one often when I was getting my BA, then didn't have it again until many years later when I was in grad school. Horrifying! Mine was always a math class, which I didn't even have after my freshman year.

Didn't you know that no one has been as oppressed as mediocre white (Christian) men? s/ 🙄 But really, I would say actual data but facts don't matter to those guys. They just want to add something else to their list of grievances against anyone who isn't them.

I guess you've forgotten that the Democrats impeached Trump twice but Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made sure that nothing would ever come of that.

It’s Paul. He’s writing with his left hand and that’s not John’s nose.

None of these people who support her here in this thread actually live in the 9th. They don't know that the other candidates are from the district, have been working for the people who live here for years, & know the district far better than she does. They like her because she's a social media star.

Maybe you should research some of the other candidates. Mike Simmons, for example, is an excellent candidate who actually has lived in the district his entire life and is currently an Illinois State Senator. He's been working for us for years. We don't need carpet baggers in our district.

That's from June. I'll bet that their attitude has changed since then.

Hero’s of the day - In a small town of Beckley, WV, Kendra Sullivan staged a one-woman No Kings protest. She was confronted, had the police called on her, but stood her ground. She was physically threatened. Police came more than once and protected her right to protest. This is how we do it.
