I'm not saying Roald Dahl ripped off Saki, but...Roald Dahl ripped off Saki😅

Thats an odd cast. John Leyton appeared in some interesting choices.

I heard some episodes may exist, but not all of them.

I'm a massive Saki fan. One of the few writers who genuinely makes me laugh out loud. Never knew Gorey had illustrated him. Perfect pairing!

Such a fun movie. Like a lot of horror stuff it's become a classic over the years.

There's a wonderful sequence in the long lost Yeti episodes where Victoria is wandering alone through the London Underground, shouting, 'Jamie? Doctor?'
We shouted it at school quite a bit...

I remember being seriously pissed off when I missed Harnell change into Troughton because it was Guy Fawkes Night, and I had to watch fireworks out the back😬🙄

What I've read about Jean Rhys is fascinating. You think she ever watched, I Walked with a Zombie?

Hugely influential. Brad Bird of Pixar is obsessed. My life was changed by Johnny and Dr Who...

Fascinating. I often wondered if he influenced an episode of my favourite kid's cartoon series, Johnny Quest. First time I'd ever heard of the Sargasso Sea. Like many others, JQ was probably my introduction to horror and Scifi.

That's really interesting. It's amazing how well he's thought of.

As do I. Kindle is a quick fix! There was an American anthology out about 10 years ago. Not easy to get hold of . Quite a few of those self published Amazon things too.

It wasn't a hit...

There's a complete works on there for next to nothing!

They didn't use the similarly titled track by Alien Sex Fiend in the credits, by any chance?
December 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM
I appreciate that. Cheered me up amongst all the tinsel and tat! I'm quite fond of the movie too....
