Thought I would share what the Google Weatherlab AI model is saying about the possible #Noreaster on the East Coast. The model has it traveling further north than the European model but stopping at south NJ - further south than the GFS Model. (Each Dot is an ensemble marker) Stay Tuned #Wx #Weather

Given the current situation involving Federal Troops, I want to remind New Yorkers that we have our own state troops (Not National Guard) who report directly to the Governor of the Great State of New York. - dmna.ny.gov/nyg/ #NY #NYGuard
The New York Guard (NYG) is the State Defense Force (SDF) of New York State, and is one of the four branches of the New York Military Forces (NYMF), the other three branches being the New York Army National Guard, New York Air National Guard and the New York Naval Militia.[1][2] Originally called the New York State Militia, it can trace its lineage back to the American Revolution and the War of 1812.[3] The organization now has a unified command structure, while formerly it contained an Army Division and an Air Division. The missions of the New York Guard include augmentation, assistance, and support of the New York Army National Guard and New York Air National Guard respectively and aide to civil authorities in New York State. New York also has a New York Naval Militia which, with the State Guard and the Army and Air National Guards, is under the command of the Governor of New York, the Adjutant General of New York, and the Division of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA).

Inspired by the bacon meatloaf... I decided it was time to take out the smoker.... And one of the items I cooked yesterday was some pork belly- Maple sugar rubbed and smoked for 5 hrs (It's really thin, easy to overcook). Had a sample today- much more yum to come! #bacon #food 🍽️
Slab of Pork Belly rubbed in maple sugar and salt then smoked for 5 hr. A few slices off to try it with them lightly fried to crisp up the insides a small bit.

My son's birthday was the other day. I said we can go out to eat, or make whatever you want- ribs, burgers, etc. He said he wanted my Bacon Meatloaf.
So here it is- I made 2 but ran out of bacon- so used hard salami on the one closest in the picture. It did not last long! 🍽️

Until further notice, the National Weather Service (NWS) may temporarily reduce or suspend scheduled radiosonde launches at selected NWS upper air sites due to staffing limitations or operational priorities. Office(s) will continue to conduct special observations as resources allow and in response to emerging weather events. To mitigate potential impacts, the NWS is actively pursuing alternative sources of upper-air data and adjusting internal staffing and procedures to maintain continuity of service. Additional updates will be provided as needed. Under normal operations, the NWS conducts and/or supports radiosonde observations twice a day from 100 upper air sites throughout the United States, Caribbean, and the Pacific Basin. One of my favorite hard ciders is Awestruck's Winter Solstice. Unfortunately, it's hard to get... SO, I figured out if I take an Angry Orchard hard cider then add in 1 tbsp of Black Current concentrate (got from Amazon)- it tastes really close to Winter Solstice- semi sweet & tart #Cheers #Cider 🍸 🍽️

Crazy weather here in the Northeast. Here in the Hudson Valley, we're going to be in the mid-70s (F) yet just 3 hrs away (200 miles) the high temps will be mid-30s (F) with a Winter Storm Warning for Ice. Got to love the warm sector of storms!
