Our annual Mass to commemorate all the Faithful Departed, & particularly those in our parish who have died over the past year, will be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday 20th Nov, at 7pm at St Mark's. Everyone is most welcome. The corresponding Mass at St Anthony's will be next Tuesday 25th Nov at 7pm 🙏

Our joint service at Rutherglen cemetery with St Columbkille's this afternoon was very well supported by parishioners of both parishes: many thanks to all who came along to remember and pray for the Faithful Departed of our families and parishes 🙏

In this month of November we are remembering and praying for all of our beloved dead of the parish. As you can see, our November lists are displayed in each church, and those on them are prayed for at every Mass during the month.

Our parish Caritas Award Justice & Peace project is going so well, with our 14 S6 participants today practising and polishing their talks to the parish on 22nd/23rd November, and their scripts for the Holy Hour on Thursday 4th December. We are so proud of you all!

Don't forget that to mark our National Day of Prayer for Peace in the Holy Land, St Anthony's church will be open from 5pm this evening (Tuesday 7th) with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy Rosary on the hour, and 7pm Mass with novena of St Anthony. Everyone is most welcome to come along🙏

A reminder to current and potential Ministers of Welcome that we'll be meeting this evening (Thursday 2nd October) from 7-8pm at St Anthony's to refresh the ministry: to consider the importance of the minister of welcome, to welcome new ministers, and to discuss the duties involved in the role.

We're recruiting for new altar servers at St Mark's! All P5 and above - no matter which school you attend - are welcome to come along. Training will take place this Thursday 18th September at 3.15-4pm at St Mark's church. There is an alternative session next Wednesday 24th Sept at 3.15.

Our parish S6 Caritas Award Justice and Peace project kicked off last night with an introduction to J & P and #catholicsocialteaching led by our friend Anne Marie Clements from Justice & Peace Scotland.
