I get a similar sensation from hearing deadmau5 in the wild. It's easy to forget he's kind of huge, and not just some niche artist I've hyperfixated on for like 20 years

It's definitely a good game, I just hate the main combat gimmick. I adore every other aspect of it, but I would say it definitely got over hyped by band kids in the 2010s

personal preference, so please spare me any 'skill issue' or 'get good' comments. I just wanted to vent my disappointment from a decade of anticipation, I purposefully avoided indulging in any spoilers the entire time, so you can imagine how much of a let down it is.

the worst 'combat' gimmick I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I can't stand bullet hells, so the bosses, who are supposed to be the highlights of the game, are a slog, and make me dread progression, overall ruining the entire experience. I'm aware that this is ENTIRELY a hinderance of-
