Took Karma in for a checkup today. The vet did not immediately find anything glaringly wrong with her, so that's good. They did take blood and urine for testing, but I won't hear about the results until Wednesday, so here's hoping I don't find out anything bad then.

So, finally got access to House Money last Wednesday. I've now paid everything and everyone pretty much with the notable exception of my brother, who's currently on a cruise somewhere nice (and warm). The rest shall be put into an investment account. It really feels good to have all this done..:)

House sale closed yesterday afternoon, so that concern is officially in the rear-view mirror. Now, Mark and I await the money to show up in our bank accounts. Heck, we've anticipated this for months, what's another day or two, right? :)

Mom's house is sold, after being on the market for three days. I hoped we wouldn't have to wait long, but this went much better than I expected. Got the asking price which apparently stands as a record for this townhouse lot.

A great day on Saturday was quickly followed by a dark, rainly day yesterday, which all of a sudden turned into a torrential downpour around 11PM, which is fine because I was safely indoors and I like hearing downpours sometimes. But it's not the kind of thing you usually get in November.
