[dks] i had way more thoughts about the utena movie to wrap up my feelings of both it and the franchise as a whole but most of them went flying out of the window unable to be formed again at that ending sequence and then bee said it's woke nonsense (positive) and that's all i can think about now

[dks] tonight was the biggest night in history because we did the newest jjk (always planned but the fact it was That, major bonus) and we're about to watch the utena movie to finish up that huge project too. we also finished hand shakers. it has done irreparable damage to me. i'm a worse person now

had the potential to go much further so I’m sad to see it axed at 30. deprioritising one of the twins feels like the mistake that got them, though with more chapters i’m sure they’d have shown what he’s up to. the coach from the oneshot too. jump continues to look for its next big sport thing.

I had Shinewbi at like a barely 6/10 for the entire time it was around because it was cute but kind of just fine at best otherwise but one of the page turns right at the end was really damn cute so it got itself bonus points for that. Buddy cop romance about ninjas could have been a 10 though.

from what I can tell RKHB was summer hikaru died except instead of his boyfriend(?) becoming The Creature it’s his toddler younger brother. he still has a boyfriend(?) though.
first few chapters made me feel sick (positive) but it fell off immediately and never really recovered. ended good though.

the ranma remake continues to be great, with the cast almost perfect now with ukyo and mousse finally showing up and much more shampoo and kuno leading to a lot of really fun episodes. happosei also showed up. really hope we get more sooner than later and it feels likely we will. love these remakes.

emma stone obviously excellent and maybe my favourite jesse plemons performance ever which is great because i really like that guy but bee told me that the director specifically wanted stavros for this movie and knowing that going in i was not ready for what stavros' role was in this movie

i will miss otr, feels like exactly when it started to click and showcase what it brought it was already in the too late. i have faith kawaguchi will get there someday though. would love to see him paired with a writer next time to prevent his early pitfalls getting him again so his art can shine.

burst onto the scene with tons of potential, jumped back and forth between nailing and squandering it the whole in between but I think they nailed the ending overall, the final fights and epilogues really felt like mha at its core and finest. it became a staple so quick it’s weird to see it’s over.

love the art style! more shows should go for the classic anime look. everything else is fucking sucks. which i expected judging the book by the cover but the sheer unwillingness to do anything interesting was a great twist, they love to set up something cool then Not Use It. awesome. cool. fuck off.

S2 of grieving soul wrapped up and i really love it. it’s so good at laying stupid chekovs guns without you even realising that’s what’s going on then the arc concludes and the punchlines hit everytime. everyone has their 6/10 shows they’d go to bat for and this is easily becoming mine. 1/7 fall25

S2 of grieving soul wrapped up and i really love it. it’s so good at laying stupid chekovs guns without you even realising that’s what’s going on then the arc concludes and the punchlines hit everytime. everyone has their 6/10 shows they’d go to bat for and this is easily becoming mine. 1/7 fall25
[replay] did vanilla kh2 for the first time in a while. lots of clear quirks that final mix irons out and it was a big reminder of why i prefer critical to proud mode balancing, but it's still the special game kh2 is at the core. just need to do the gummis, synthesis and para hades cup for mastery.

[dks] [rewatch] one of those shows that's always stuck with me ever since i first found out about it through a random box of anime dvds i got my hands on when i was absolutely far too young for any of them had the first 3 episodes. i like it more with every rewatch. i've rewatched it a bunch now.

[dks] [rewatch] mob s2 down and i think this is probably the peak for me. i really liked season 1 but this is a major step up in every way. episode 11 alone has 10 scenes minimum that would be the series stealer of any other show. we're not doing s3 immediately but it won't be gone long. i love mob
