I agree, and I have a question. Unions are barred from using dues money for politics. Citizens united allowed us to create separate funds from dues that members could contribute to and that can be used for politics. If we overturn citi uni how will we do so without disenfranchising union members?

I wish this were true. Trump has rigged this game in his favor. Electoral solutions no longer exist. I still think we should vote but im pretty sure he will tamper with our votes or otherwise overturn the election.

I'm super curious about your post. Do you have an example of a non-material thing? As a leftist and materialist my main point to convey to anyone is that our society thinks of a lot of things as being non-material when they really are in fact material.

Agreed. The thing about people like mad menshevik is that we gotta keep talking, gotta keep organizing, even gotta work together when possible to take down capitalists. Fascists are in lockstep, the left can't afford division.

One day you'll grow out of this. I don't think we have much more to say to each other. You should involve yourself in the struggles of everyday working people. Consider getting a union job or unionizing your current job. Ive been a member of 3 unions. Its made me a better communist.

Youre right shes not left but thats not what lenin is saying here. Trump was far far right sometimes compromise just means choosing something better than the worst option.

I hear you though I think the real problem was that alleged socialists distorted the concept of dem centralism. DC is not unquestioning conformity. Its a process of debate, voting, unified action, and, critically, repeating those three steps after the fact to refine ideas or alter course if needed.

I mostly agree with you with a small edit. Its not the Lenin didn't advocate for democracy its that he advocated for a socialist workers democracy rather than a bourgeoisie capitalist democracy.

Glad you asked Lenin wrote a small book to that effect, "Left-Wing" Communism: An Infantile Disorder" give it a read I highly recommend it.

The alternative is to form a seperate party, that runs into practical problems as well given the oppressive first past the post US voter system.

I voted for Kamala. That was the practical Leninist position to take. The position that improved material conditions as much as possible. Many less mature leftists were unable to get there. Going forward the democratic party needs to outreach to us better and improve its policies. Continued...
