It's even worse than this. It's agreeing to surrender with no real benefits while your enemy is shooting himself in the foot repeatedly

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Blame *all* Democratic incumbents for this surrender. Not just the ones voting for it. The others could have voted to remove Schumer long ago and install a leader capable of formulating a strategy and holding his people together. They were content to stay with a proven loser.
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.
We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.
A vote for this bill is a mistake.

“But it’s not voiceover, it’s just text.”
Yes and writers shouldn’t be getting replaced by this sort of thing.
“They couldn’t generate responses to every possible thing asked”
Yeah and expecting any NPC to be able to has clear downsides and trying to will result in bland, unimpressive dialogue.

The part about agreeing not to use what the AI says as real advice (and that it’s likely to give out erroneous information) stands out, especially given the recent news stories about chatbots encouraging users in ways that are detrimental to their mental health.
I highlight it out of concern.

The TLDR here is that you can censor or bubble wrap or childproof the internet as much as you want but those filters do not apply to their daily in-person lives. Whatever side you’re on, there is nothing that can be done to censor what they see in-person. So shut the fuck up and stop censoring us!

QA in localization is referred to as LQA, or "linguistic quality assurance." This process can take different forms depending on which publisher you're talking about. Sometimes it's purely a functionality check (ie: does text stay within windows, etc.), sometimes it's deeper. SE's LQA is the latter.
