Currently re reading the City of Brass trilogy and would love an adaptation but not sure i can handle the discourse around a white convert to Islam, writing a book with Middle Eastern characters. However well written and well received it has been.

Per ACOTAR: In my head, Rhys (and all Illyrian) are persian/berber/north Afican/central asian in my head. I know an adaptation will be all white dudes. But Im going 5i say SJM is wrong there.

I know Brandon Sanderson is a Mormon and thar problematic. But the man has shown the ability to grow. His last novel had a queer story line POV and a very minor trans character. He tells men to embrace romantasy as fantasy (it is) he wants to be a good guy and is trying.

🧜‍♀️: if they ever do a Stormlight adaptation they better not whitewash everyone. Everyone is clearly Asian/Southeast Asian/Sub Continent/Middle Easten etc. Dev Patel is Kaladin (if they make it soon and he wants it)

This is the fifth time they've done this.

Republicans are responsible for this shutdown.

A couple years ago I had a friend doing the nomad thing while she figure out where to settle. And she stayed with me iff and on and stored some stuff here and that was workable.

Over half the time ive lived in this place was with a roommate. And with all the random expenses this year it seemed like maybe an option. But no, I think its just me and Ernie.i cant even foster because it stresses Ernie out too much. Another human seems impossible.

To be clear, I am very excited to see my cousin. I am not exited that my typical strategy of throwing all the mess in the spare room is not valid as that is where he will be staying.

My cousin is staying with me to run the marathon and it had occurred to me that I should try to make my place more habitable by then and I cant just throw everything in the spare room. And I am not excited. Maybe one chore a day towards organization.

Just having a casual freak out this am because I took off thr bandages and my nose is gigantic but my sister says it cam take 6 months for the swelling to go go down completely and its been a week so I should not freak out.

Nah, from years of sinus/allergy issues. Deviated septum, polyp, general loss of structure so when I took a deep breath my nostril would close. It needed fixing and the recovery isnt terrible. But Im going to milk it fir all its worth.
