I mean. I’ve done weirder than drive three and a half hours on a Sunday to get matching SPN tribute tattoos with my college bestie before driving three and a half hours back home.

Have been experimenting, from extensions in my hair, to make-up that I do not normally wear, to actually wearing/embracing my glasses. (I’m not a red lipstick person. Or a green lipstick person. Or… a lipstick person, really.)

Created this in photoshop sixteen years ago in honor of President Obama. Zuckerberg’s shit site had the utter balls to bring this up in my memories today of all days. I felt so hopeful then. So fucking joyful.
Just like I did in the months leading up to November 2024.

It’s probably ridiculous to have booked a hotel for a convention that’s only 20 minutes away from where I live but it’s either that, or my bestie’s gonna be subjected to twin terrors. Would’ve loved to get a room at the Hyatt but 3 nights is $1200 hahaha.

Also, there was pie.

Spent the night at my parents’ house last night, all so I could prep and cook stuff that disappeared in ten minutes.

Privatized my account on the other site and was going through to delete a lot of media - my pictures and pictures of my little girls were there, as well as some of my writing - and I surprisingly found some pictures I took from my first con, way back in Chicago 2012.

Convo in the other room between my nieces and their dad:
“Daddy. You have to eat pie.”
“I have to what?”
“Eat. Pie. PIIIIIIEEEEE.”
“O…Kay?”
“Daddy. Eat the pie. It’s good for you.”

I’ve trained my girls well.

Final three grades of class, giving me a GPA of 2.4, and an institutional GPA of 4.0. I’ve never had a 4.0 in my life.
