Oh, yes, easier said than done for sure! Even people without trauma struggle with it, and with it is a hundred times harder...

I guess I meant "playing around" as in, doing it while accepting that there's no right/wrong? Which, well, like you said... I wouldn't know where to start either, ahah...

I think the best attitude to approach creativity - if you can get into the mindset - is often seeing it less about doing the creative thing, and more about just playing around and experimenting, without necessarily having a goal or end result in mind!

I feel like all too often, an excess of knowledge is what causes pain, and bitterness, and makes it all too hard to be compassionate...
"Ignorance is bliss", I suppose...?

what if the blinding light of the sun is just the ultimate form of clothing? you're completely immune to exhibitionism if people are rendered incapable of sight from attempting to gaze upon you!

Actually, I think the problem is never leaving their offices and not being in touch with reality...

setting aside the possibility of home-making eggnog, we considered this problem in the past and recently simply bought a carton of custard from the same brand that makes the eggnog we normally get, and drank that instead as an experiment

Mostly it's to do with whether you wake during or after a REM cycle. If you're going to lose consciousness, try to aim for intervals of 90 minutes. Or aim for 20 minutes max and just rest without actually falling asleep.

That's the only real cure for anxiety! You gotta get that gentle exposure therapy until your brain learns things are okay!
(Obviously medication is a great help for some people, but that only treats the symptoms, not the core of it)

I think looking for justification is the kind of thing with ever-shifting goalposts...
Rather than looking, it's more about reorienting...?
Like, practicing self-love, and forgiveness, and all of that stuff. Daily positive affirmations!
Change from "I have to justify myself" to "I already have"?

I think for a lot of people, it's because religious belief has hurt them in the past, and people tend to kind of anthropomorphise things like that and treat them as their own entities...
And if something's hurt you a lot in the past, it's natural to want to hurt it back or get rid of it!

Maybe it's less about the geological formations-
(you said *big* islands, right? and like, would a little geode scare you?)
-and more about, say, the sheer power of natural forces that humanity can't truly control or oppose?
What about a hurricane or tornado? They form in sorta-living ways, maybe...

immediately VERY invested in this "sakiko" of which you speak

They say necessity is the mother of invention... why fix what isn't broken? Variety's good, but you can still find lots of variety within a certain dynamic! And variety at the expense of ignoring what you actually like is silly.

...Besides, isn't it all really just different flavours of "dom/sub"?
November 29, 2025 at 10:04 PM
to most people that's the same thing, the difference is just whether petplay is involved or not
(setting aside the possibility of uselessly sleepy cats)

I think, in our eyes at least, it's a case of... yeah, the term has been used harmfully. And because of that, there's shared history. But that doesn't have to mean it has some inherently offensive or evil quality to it, nor does that mean people can't use it from a benign kinda standpoint, does it?

This actually might have fixed us a little... for us we slip into "being a doll" when we feel neglected or abandoned or unloved, but this is a really powerful reminder that even in those moments, a doll is actually supposed to stand up for her own happiness and not give in...
Thank you, Halimede.

It's okay to cry! Sometimes you just have to feel things, even if it seems pathetic at the time!
