I have been having a lot of omegaverse thoughts lately. I was reading Renta's blog and saw this (⬇️). In a lot of the omegaverse I read, alpha prefered being beta because they felt that their attraction/love was more genuine and not based on pheromones. If anything, it the complete opposite.
omega; and even gets drugged with a heat-inducing substance. Looking back, maybe one of the reasons for the title is that being an omega equals being able to receive an alpha’s love, in Suzuharu’s mind; so, as a beta, he shuts that door for himself.

This is my current progress so far on the Frozen Lake Cardigan. The saddle shoulders are a bit of learning curve, but other than that, I am enjoying knitting it. I am also really enjoying working this yarn again. It's been in my stash for years and I'm glad to be finally using it up.

I found one of my many notebooks I wrote everything in when I also felt like I needed to write everything down. I had a method to my madness. I didn't have job and was trying to prioritize which series I was going to read so I wasn't spending too much money. This wasn't the best method.

It's wild how homosexuality wasn't even added into the Bible until later on and yet people act like it was always there. It being added in 1946 is crazy! That was not that long ago! Not even 100 years. Not even 80 years. (I kind of want to read this book now.)

Abstract This introductory chapter traces the history of homosexuality in mainline Protestantism. Appearing for the first time in the Revised Standard Version (RSV) of the Bible in 1946, in Apostle Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians, the term “homosexual” was added by liberal Protestant Bible scholars who believed that homosexuality was a vice that had been opposed since Sodom. Two enigmatic Greek nouns, referenced in the older King James Version (KJV) as “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind,” now appeared as a single, streamlined “homosexual.” Some Bible readers, however, opposed this textual change and noted that before the addition, the topic of same-sex relationships was absent in Protestant literature. The chapter argues that the Bible's specifically same-sex meaning was an invention of the twentieth century. It also discusses how this liberal Protestant legacy shaped all sides of the oppositional politics over gay rights.

I looked up the etymology and here is a passage that address demons as spirits. Growing up in the Pentecostal church, demons were always associated with spirits. They weren't treated as material beings, but immaterial beings that could taken on a corporeal form.

I was just looking at the abstract for a book called, 'The Demons' Reaction to Sodomy: Witchcraft and Homosexuality in Gianfrancesco Pico della Mirandola's "Strix"'. Given that homosexuality was seen as immoral and demons were literally beings tempted man to sin, I don't understand why --
Abstract This study draws on theological and demonological works that discuss demons' reaction to sodomy, and concentrates on Gianfrancesco Pico's 1523 dialogue "Strix". While the medieval theological view stressed the demons' abhorrence of sodomy and refrainment from engaging in sodomitical relations, fifteenth-century demonologists already found it difficult to reconcile such a view with the newly developed theory of diabolic witchcraft. During the sixteenth century, the notion of the demons' disgust at sodomy was radically transformed. This transformation was gradual, but in Strix the shift away from the traditional view was already decisive. The article examines Pico's original configuration of the relations between sodomy and witchcraft, and suggests a few possible reasons for his decision to challenge the medieval notion. Well, the etymology of demon does include the reference to spirits. I've seen so many succubus with uterus tattoos that I'm not surprised there would be mention of pregnancy.

I disagree that succubus and incubus are “sexless” beings, and let me try to dig deeper of why I think so: Does genitals differentiate a male from a female? In human sense, it mostly does. But for entities like succubus and incubus it differentiate them with the ASPECT OF MALE AND FEMALE, which basically means that it’s in their energy current, rather than their genitals. And if we have to dig even deeper with this, we have to dissect the psychology of these spirits, which is tricky, because it can be very stereotypical and generalized. As I see it, we can only separate the succubus and the incubus from an individual perspective. Both of them share similarities and differences in personalities, since they can be very caring, protective, dominant, submissive, emotional, light, dark, neutral, masculine and feminine. But that also makes each and everyone of them unique in their own ways. The creative aspect is the only thing that do separate them from one another, which I have experienced myself. A succubus within the aspect of female, and as an aspect of that particular current, they can create and procreate life, which means they can be pregnant.

The etymology of succubus offers some interesting information. The very first meaning suggests neutrality. Now that I'm comparing the two: Incubus → "to lie upon" and Succubus → "to lie under,"/"to lie down".
That still is confusing in regards to how position and gender relate to one another.
succubus(n.) "demon fabled to have sexual intercourse with humans in their sleep," late 14c., an alteration of Late Latin succuba "strumpet," also applied to a fiend (generally in female form) having sexual connection with men in their sleep. This is from succubare "to lie under," from assimilated form of sub "under" (see sub-) + cubare "to lie down" (see cubicle). The altered form in English appears to be after incubus, and it gives a Latin masculine form to a word for a demon generally felt as female. Succuba is attested in English in this sense from 1580s. Related: Succubine (adj.); succubate (v.) "have carnal knowledge of a man" (as a succuba), from the Latin past participle. The transferred sense of succuba in classical Latin was "a supplanter, a rival."

This is the entry for Incubus from Etymonline.com. Every definition I've seen of incubus, it specifically mentions women. With succubus, the definition specifically brings up men. Why are demons restrained by heterosexuality?? Aren't they demons?! Even demons are forced to be straight 😭💔
