In my opinion Blender, but I am a Blender user and appreciator that's never tried Maya or 3DMax, so I'm biased. It IS legally free and the general consensus is that it's just as good as them.

I find it interesting that you have (had?) dreams about NiGHTS. I often find myself sitting around like "You guys are having dreams?"

Does your NiGHTS still have his horns? NiGHTS's cowl is looking floppy here, maybe Imagni ran off with NiGHTS's horns.

There's a feeling of newfound innocence about it all as NiGHTS leaves his crooked past behind him.

the apparent foolishness of it in the nightmaren ideology NiGHTS was raised in, the bindle bringing to mind a stereotypical image of a runaway. NiGHTS is overjoyed that he's free, that he was brave enough- so much that he's in tears.

I find there to be an endearing joy and vulnerability in this image. In other words, awwwh he's crying with joy, bless his heart, he deserves it.
