Favorite tracks: Alchemy Sounded Good At The Time, Tilting the Hourglass, This Conversation is Over

The songs that stick out to me are the ones that dip into more of a From Autumn To Ashes sound, deep growls mixing with tremolo picking and the occasional double kick patterns. The clean vocals I can take or leave, but they do add a nice bit of variety to the sound.

The album does reek of both My Chemical Romance and Chiodos, and while I like both of those bands, sometimes I want something a little different. That said you can definitely find worse bands aping those two bands. The good news is when this band does something fun, it is very fun.

Screamo/post hardcore/swancore/whatever was a genre I remember both enjoying and hating, because for as many highs as it has there are just as many lows. This album is one that does wear its influences heavy on its sleeve, which isn’t a bad thing, but there are some parts where I listen and go “Man”
