I'll be upset over mom-and-pop shops going out of business, not private equity, who were destroying our country in a different way.

Carville is playing with an old rule-book and works with an establishment that doesn't care about the middle class. If you want leadership and change, look to our more progressive politicians. It's time for people like Rove and Carville to bow out.

Most democrats are just diet-republican. They don't really espouse any progressive agenda, but want to enrich themselves from the status-quo. We need to get them all out in the primaries.

A lot of good ideas in here! The approach should not be a punitive one (i.e. you can't do this, it's illegal), but an incentive-based one. Our society incentivizes a lot of the bad behaviors we're trying to get rid of. Change the incentives, change the behavior. I want to see where this goes!

Wow... I thought somehow you were "one of the good ones" but apparently there are no moral billionaires. Life is not a quid-pro-quo and sometimes you help people because it's the right thing to do, not because you get something out of it.

I agree, but I'm so tired of these articles that say this without proposing solutions. A lot of us are just trying to get by, but can help if someone can show a path forward. Stop screaming and start organizing. Unless you propose solutions at this point, don't bother saying it. We already know.

Unfortunately for us, it won't be that simple. With the makeup of our current Supreme Court, this will need to be a Constitutional Amendment, which is highly unlikely even if Dems get majorities.

This is why this current election had been so important.
