Yes! This! My manager just took his THIRD two week paternity leave recently. I barely got a day off all three times, and I had to use vacation time to do it. In Germany, it's not uncommon for people to disappear anywhere from six months to two years (paid!). Completely different culture.

I'm kind of partial to the coat bath. I've always wanted to give all my coats a nice bath. They would be so relaxed.
