Since this Star Wars Hunters thread is going to be very long, I'm going to make a shorter thread with quoted posts where you can jump in where you want if there's a specific character you want to read about.

Forgot to mention, Ralph McQuarrie's helmet concept was resurrected for The Clone Wars in the character of bounty hunter Rako Hardeen in Season 4, Episode 15 "Deception".

The next Legendary costume for Imara Vex is Identity Assertion. This is a helmetless version of her Fortress Annihilation costume, complete with a headset with rangefinder inspired by the one on Jango and Boba Fett’s helmets.

The weapon wrap for this costume is called Wampa’s Nightmare Rifle. This is modeled on the BlasTech DLT-20A blaster rifle carried by snowtroopers at the Battle of Hoth (I don’t think this is shown in film) and also carried by IG-88 during the bounty hunter scene on the Executor.

From the name, it can be assumed that the collar is made from wampa fur.

Her backpack resembles the life support pack worn by the pilots as well.

Imara Vex’s next Legendary costume is Hoth-themed and is amusingly called Wampa’s Worst Nightmare. She wears a helmet patterned after an AT-AT pilot from The Empire Strikes Back, even including the black/gold “buttons” on her chest armor.

The sandviper is a creature native to the planet Ord Cestus which made its first appearance in the 2004 Clone Wars novel The Cestus Deception by Steven Barnes. I love obscure references like this.

The weapon's description reveals how valuable it was to Imara during those six months in the desert:

"My rifle saw me through. Its deadly strike brought the credits in... eventually."

The weapon wrap for this costume is the interestingly named Desert Sandviper. It has a unique shape and is wrapped in brown bindings. If anyone can identify this as an existing Star Wars weapon, please let me know!

I’m not sure if this is meant to reference anything, but the costume description reads:

“I was stuck on that rock for six months, almost had to sell my helmet to survive.”

On her back, you can see her helmet dangling from her backpack along with what looks like a white gauntlet, and a rocket similar to Jango and Boba Fett’s MM9 rockets.

Next we have the Desert Isolation costume. Another helmetless costume, this sees Imara dressed in desert attire, with a scarf pulled up over her head and a visor covering her eyes.

The weapon wrap for this costume has the very cool name of Glimmershot Prototype. I can’t find whether this is any type of reference, and its covering doesn’t have a special symbol like the Fortress Dustbowl rifle does.

The game files refer to this costume as “Prototype V2”.

The next Legendary costume for Imara Vex is Fortress Annihilation. This is a palette swap of the Cityworld Prototype costume, adding greys and mauve into the mix. I don’t know if this specific color scheme references anything though.

I feel like I’ve seen this “I K” symbol in concept art somewhere but it’s escaping me. If anyone has an idea, please let me know! It also appears on her right shoulder pad, easier to spot in the texture file.

The weapon wrap for this costume has an intriguing name, Fortress Dustbowl. It features a large white covering on the blaster with a symbol in yellow.

It’s hard to make out but on her backpack, there are Aurebesh letters reading “NX”. Easier to see on the costume’s texture file.

It even includes the little opposite shoulder mounted device the prototype Boba Fett wears.

The actual character design seems to be based on the 2007 Hasbro Concept Boba Fett action figure and the Collector’s Edition Sideshow Collectibles Ralph McQuarrie Boba Fett statue, which combined the variant helmet design with the full body armor.

Next up for Imara, we have the Cityworld Prototype costume. This is a reference to two pieces of Ralph McQuarrie concept art of Boba Fett for The Empire Strikes Back.

The description for this weapon wrap implies that maybe this didn’t belong to Imara originally after all:

“Sometimes it gets hectic, sometimes you lose your blaster, sometimes you have to take someone else’s.”

The weapon wrap for Imara Vex’s Endor costume is called the Endor A280C Custom. Imara’s version has a smaller scope and is further modified with a double barrel on the front.
