These traumatic events is why Sab later refers her as his sister, forced in the same situation later helping in reading and writing and other jobs in the temple they were traveling to being his only friend as the holy workers was purposely distant to the child untill he began formal training.

Fang despite not being as smart as she is in modern day sensing the mix of emotions in the child tried to help keeping him warm and aiding him were she could, the two eventually getting an inseparable bound overtime on this trip Sab and Fang getting stronger through this trail.

The church forced him to walk for miles from between the ages of 4-7. Sab given Fang despite being illegal, Sab knowing this as it was the reason why he didn't take Ziggy to then just get given a completely unrelated Pokémon and fire type afraid of this Pokémon thrusted upon him.

His parents immediately started travelling again forgetting about their son only giving him pamphlets of where they traveled to lie to themselves about trying to keep a connection. Sab cutting them off entirely in later life due to how they abused him in youth even when he complained in future

His parents viewed it as their opportunity to be rid of him agreed taking him away from Ziggy and the forest he loved so much. Aware he cannot take ziggy with him due to his age of 4 but still liking the Pokémon well in to adulthood missing his friend.

He was protected by the wild Pokemon ziggy the zigzagoon playing in the mud named by Sab and 4. Ziggy protecting the often abandoned Sab at this time in his life wanting to protect the abandoned child his perants only collecting him at night.

Sab was a normal child for the most part growing up however was born to two neglectful parents who never really wanted him.
The two parents often neglected him leaving him in the ilex forest in hopes he would go away. The parents not wanting to settle down seeing him as a burden.
