I work in disability services and student success, and it's such a heartbreaking thing because i'm so passionate about my work with students but it's exhausting to be told "this is more than a job" when i'm struggling to pay my bills and my dept went from 5 people to just me. i'm burnt out.

Same!! I love working in higher education, but it's just been so draining lately and it's exhausting to pour effort into a place that is wearing me out and not paying me enough to stay alive.
