Matthew Stafford coming to the Steelers would put them in this phase of trying to replace their former franchise QB.

I can't find it within myself to feel too outraged that the Steelers let their DBs coach go after constant communications issues down the stretch while also banging the table to part ways with the OL coach because of issues with that unit.

Maybe that's just me, I don't know.

That postseason record…once upon a time.
February 10, 2025 at 4:10 PM
No words to describe the Steelers’ offensive line the last time they made a Super Bowl appearance.
February 9, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl in 8 of the last 9 years. From one dynasty to another.

2025: Mahomes
2024: Mahomes
2023: Mahomes
2022: Burrow
2021: Mahomes
2020: Mahomes
2019: Brady
2018: Brady
2017: Brady

Thinking about this a lot after Tomlin’s comments that good QBs aren’t always found at the top of the first round and mentioning Lamar Jackson & Jalen Hurts.
January 15, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Russell Wilson was tied for last in EPA per drop back among all QBs with 100+ pass attempts from Week 15 to the wild-card round.

Wilson was 0-5 as a starter in that stretch. Steelers have to look elsewhere this offseason.
January 14, 2025 at 4:55 PM
The Steelers did not convert this. IT WAS 3RD AND 2!

The Ravens then scored on the following possession to make it 14-0.

In addition to poor coaching, execution was also awful.
January 12, 2025 at 5:19 PM
The Steelers actually went to an AFC Championship Game with this.

A 38-year-old James Harrison led this defense with a whopping 5 sacks that season…
January 9, 2025 at 9:48 PM
Nothing induces playoff trauma like remembering the Steelers starting Sean Spence, who was on the couch a month prior.

Going from Shazier to Spence was nightmare fuel.
January 9, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Steelers' success rate using play action was actually worse than last season (via TruMedia).

We were sold false goods.
January 7, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Russell Wilson ranked 30th out of 31 qualified QBs in EPA per drop back over the last five weeks of the season.

The Steelers' honeymoon with Wilson was nice while it lasted.
January 6, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Smaller sample size but Justin Fields finished the 2024 regular season with a better EPA per drop back than Russell Wilson for the Steelers, per TruMedia.

Puts into perspective how damaging Wilson's slump to end of the season was.

T.J. Watt is 1 sack off the NFL lead despite a 9.9 pressure %, his lowest since at least 2018.

Hendrickson: 12.5 (17%)
Hunter: 12 (13.7%)
Watt: 11.5 (9.9%)
Bonitto: 11.5 (15.6%)
Garrett: 11 (19.4%)
Greenard: 11 (15.6%)

His down year is still near the NFL's most productive.
December 17, 2024 at 3:26 PM
T.J. Watt is just relentless.

Also how did Jalen Hurts hold on to this ball?!
December 16, 2024 at 3:43 PM
The last time Saquon played the Steelers, we got one of the most hilarious stat lines in NFL history
December 12, 2024 at 10:35 PM
Elandon Roberts is responsible for two of the biggest hits I’ve seen this season.

One delivered via air & the other on the ground.
December 10, 2024 at 3:42 PM
Nick Herbig has 3 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, and 12 pressures over the last 3 weeks. But how about this stat?

Pressure Percentage Over Last 3 Weeks, via PFF:
Myles Garrett - 16.3%
Nick Herbig - 16.2%

Steelers have a gem in Herbig.
December 4, 2024 at 5:33 PM
I know it was the Bengals' defense but Russell Wilson and Arthur Smith were in their bags.
December 3, 2024 at 1:24 AM
The Steelers have something special in Nick Herbig.

Just completely blows by Orlando Brown Jr. for this strip sack.
December 2, 2024 at 2:36 PM
Steelers' offense in the first half of games this year:
- T27th in average points (8.4)
- 31st in success rate (via TruMedia)
- T25th in EPA per play (via TruMedia)

This is basically how the Steelers open games.
November 25, 2024 at 8:03 PM
Have to say though Russell Wilson made some big-time throws in the 2nd half.

All of these came on 3rd or 4th down & Russ gets absolutely rocked on a few of these.

If the Steelers don’t blow this game, that late TD throw to Calvin Austin would have been very special.
November 22, 2024 at 8:03 PM
Rough reps for Joey Porter Jr. & Minkah Fitzpatrick. Jerry Jeudy had Porter's number all game & Minkah can't pick up Jeudy across the middle.

This was the Browns' only 3rd down conversion vs. the Steelers. Two plays later they scored the game-winning TD.
November 22, 2024 at 6:39 PM
It's the missed opportunities that kill you the most...

This could have been a TD to Freiermuth.
November 22, 2024 at 6:02 PM
Still can't believe Chris Boswell made this kick in these conditions.

Though I can't confirm myself because I can't see the ball.
