So much for the left having an open mind and listening to facts. What if moving slow breaks things? Failing to deploy climate policy rapidly is leading us off a cliff. We should be furious when government doesn’t function because both the status quo and the other party want to destroy the world.

The fear of marginal misuse of funds made way for the gross misuse of funds because Biden/Harris couldn’t point to real world solutions that everyday Americans could see and feel.

Ok but this ignores one of the core ideas: things need to get delivered to voters in a timeframe that shows progress. It’s great they took the time to update their crappy broadband maps but not enough people saw results. Now we have Trump dismantling the entire thing.

What did they lie about?

They have never said this. Instead of denigrating the authors for being journalists I suggest you actually read it. Or at least listen to Ezra’s interview with Jon Stewart. It’s worth an hour of your time.

Nice deflection

Yup this is good but not enough. They should also refresh the rules on interconnection and who pays. #Abundance is about measuring the delivery of the actual result not just signing the law or EO and celebrating

If you’d actually read the book you’d know that this is the kind of NIMBYism they oppose. It’s not just EPA regulations it’s laws like CEQA that allow people to sue the government to prevent or delay the issuance of permits when there is no legitimate environmental concern

Trump loves cancer

You didn’t really address the question. I want to save the environment too. Making it hard to build new high voltage transmission lines doesn’t save the environment, it protects the interests of the natural gas power plant that is already built

How do you justify 70s era environmental policies that make it harder to deploy green energy and thus easier to continue burning oil and gas? #Abundance is about having the environmental policy we need now not rolling back all environmental protections
