Fluff: I got carried away with the mesh deformers and expanded the tail before it got ridiculous. This with the cat ears actually make for a good squirrel/raccoon shape. This was mostly just a stupid idea and I figured why not ship it lol

Wolf: Tall, upward ears. Inverted tail shape. Thin at the base, wider at the end

Cat: Small ears. Thin tail all the way through

I also discovered wind parameters and emissive make for a great flame effect! (Intensity and emissive are affected by area winds and lighting so be careful what values you set as the environment changes)

If you'd prefer a simpler approach, don't worry! I'll include all black and all white tips as a toggleable option and in-game dye works as follows:
Alpha Dye - Hair and 30% to ear tufts
Beta Dye - Inner skin

MDF-XL is mostly for the tryhards. It will also allow you to make parts glow if needed.

This weekend, I got proper physics set up with tail wag and ear flick options. Last week's video didn't have any of this, it was just so wiggly that it looked like it did lol

There's also quite a bit more detail in the ears themselves like stippled normals on the skin and small hair strands overlapping into the ear. I didn't care to put much effort into that on the original 😅

A big difference in Wilds compared to World is the hair is significantly more refined and high poly with narrow hair planes. My old model was too low poly to fit with the new visuals and looked "cheap" on the player. Akko's models are a little over 4x the vertexes lol
