It's free and was designed in mind for those who faced the loss of a job, a whole career trajectory, or a struggling to handle the transition to this absolutely bonkers time we are living in.

Please pass it on to anyone you think it would help!

Which is straight up Stanford prison excitement as art.

It’s frustrating that in so many “gaming” spaces best practices from one well-practiced part of the community don’t permeate to people coming at it from a tangential discipline (“art”). I wasn’t onboarded right into Counting Sheep” either.

The creator of this was a keynote speaker at NASAGA this year and had no experience with games before this. He hopped right from doing theatre to finding a Warhammer designer to make the skipped the part in the middle about what happens when you pull in real people and assign them a role.

Such a fun sourcebook to play around with! We have a riot sneaking in as many historical anachronisms as possible.

Can’t wait for the Ken Burns documentary of our times where all of the celebrity-read letters have Minecraft or Subway Surfers in the background.

Very similar to how the story in older JRPGs still feel more engaging to me. Give a bit of information and a vibe and I’ll do the rest.

I think it’s a lesson for every GM/designer telling a story. Provide a light but potent touch for players and let them free to fill in the gaps and bring meaning.

I picked it up last week, did some solo play over the weekend and had such a fun experience. It tells a story through the cards in a way that feels so special!
