I am not sure of what’s the cost structure for the Office team so I cannot really answer to that 😅

But I’d love to see a subscription but way cheaper 👀

But I don’t think the issue is with the model of selling rather with the drive behind selling.

I think the main issue is that VC-funded companies and big corporations are now focused on creating wealth for their stakeholders rather than improve their customers lives.

Software seems cheap because people are used to companies like Google and Facebook that monetize our data instead of charging us directly for the tools they develop. SaaS gives businesses like mine a way to survive and grow without that kind of exploitation.

And what about the additional $2M I’ve calculated we’ll need over the next 15 months to develop the features we’re working on?

I come from a humble family. By slowly building a complex B2B software and selling it through the SaaS model, I’ve created a business that employs 10 people. It took us $4M to build it. Where could I have found an investor willing to spend that much for my idea or for the first product?

I get where you’re coming from, but there’s another side to the story.

SaaS has changed the game. It lets small companies sell software that would’ve cost millions to build for just hundreds a month, helping them grow without complex purchase processes. It’s easy to focus on the downsides, but SaaS has massively boosted software innovation.

When things aren’t working, sports teams either change the coach or the players.

Change the training (as already suggested by others) or (sadly) the people executing the plan.
