I had a bad ear infection and in desperation got the only ear drops available at the pharmacy. Felt maybe good at first (placebo) but kept having to reapply, and then read the bottle and I bought homeopathic ear drops. 🤬
Actual antibacterial one worked in two applications.

If possible, having it optional to show the actual clock (12:14 pm) in the top left corner. Makes it easier to not be late for appointments if I’m reading and that’s on in the background.

Social media is a tool that can either be used for good or bad. I’ve had many of the same negative experiences but I’ve also discovered new books, new artists, and new places to explore. It’s what you choose to follow or pay attention to. I have to set limits, personally.

Fair enough. BlueSky takes more effort to gain viewership than Twitter (even if Twitter is toxic) and a lot of people aren’t interested in that.

*Or “feeds” I guess is more accurate. Creating your own feed with a group of people that’s searchable or managing to be added to others. I’m not too experienced with it but that’s a place to start if engagement is important to you.

I also want to say, because of how BlueSky operates how you get more attention is much more manual than algorithmic. Using the right hashtags, but even better is creating or being added to lists of people in the same category that people can follow. “Skeptics” “Cult Survivors”, etc.. Look up “Lists”

I suggest staying here for now, even if you post less often. Twitter is a cesspool and I think eventually either this space will develop or another one will replace it.
The fact that there’s no (direct) algorithm to push related content is a blessing and curse regarding (good or bad) engagement.

Ok. I hope to see you next year or in the future. :)

Conspirituality did a really good podcast about this recently.

It’s also a dangerous thing to promote because there already exists stereotypes in media about autistic children being “creepy” and possibly having special powers, so concepts we have in movies can align with unfounded beliefs.
