I have one penny in my pocket
Two pennies in my shoe
There are three pennies in my desk at home
And four in my Mountain Dew

I've got five pennies in the garden
Six over by the gate
Seven pennies are hidden all over the city
And that makes twenty-eight

I just learned that there is a great controversy over the scene in @jamesgunn.bsky.social's Superman where our hero saves a squirrel while doing battle with a Kaiju.

I guess some people are actually angry that he took the time to save the squirrel.

For me, saving the squirrel IS Superman.

Tell me about DC KO.

Will there be an abundance of aggression? A high volume of violence? A good deal of grappling? A bunch of brawling? A slew of squabbling? A crap ton of combat?

The title alone suggests a profusion of pummeling and punching along with a plentitude of pugnacious pinching!

I’d be a liar if I said the event of the week wasn’t issue #25 of Conan the Barbarian, featuring Alex Horley painting the entirety of a King Conan yarn by Jim Zub … this is fantastic. about as gorgeous as the old boy’s ever looked, like he stepped right off a paperback book cover. should win awards.
Conan the Barbarian #25, cover by Alex Horley. King Conan is about to have his shit rocked, boy howdy. Conan the Barbarian #25, by Jim Zub and Alex Horley. A nice page of King Conan just chilling in the garden and playing swords with his pal. Conan the Barbarian #25, by Jim Zub and Alex Horley. Centerspread of Conan looking as good as he ever has. My dude. He’s just wasting a whole battlefield full of fighters. Absolute wreckage with a sword and an axe. Conan the Barbarian #25, by Jim Zub and Alex Horley. Conan has been crucified, with nails, by an evil monkey wearing a cape accompanied by a giant snake just chilling in the background. My god. What a comic. That we should live to see such wonders.

I've decided that each and every post I put here today will be accompanied by a GIF that may, or may not, have anything to do with the post itself.

...is that protesters are being brutalized and arrested, sometimes even disappeared.

I don't know. I may take a break from social media, I may not.

I just want to feel optimistic again and I fear that I never will. I mean, I only have a decade or two left on this planet.

No, instead, as always, it's left up to the people to do something. But really, apart from raising arms against a fascist regime, all the people can do it protest, which ain't no small thing, but even with that, the sense I get from social media...

What I'm not getting from social media is any sense whatsoever that anyone is doing anything to stop, who is basically Skeletor and his Evil Horde.

And I'm talking about the people who can actually do something like our elected Senators and Reps and all that.

Just a bunch of people knocking each other over to be the first to point out every lie, every hypocritical utterance, and every law (Federal, State, and moral) that's being broken.

That's what I'm getting out of social media lately. A constant, 24-7 barrage of horrific videos and information.

So, we get all these people into a room and all they do is point out all the things that are going wrong and everyone agrees and it just goes on and on and on.

There's no debate, there's no intelligent discussion, and there's certainly no changing of minds.

So what's the point, right?

I may take a break from social media, folks.

I mean, social media is like having a bunch of people, who all feel the same way about the state of the country, who all want Big Orange removed, just like I do. Afterall, we follow the people we like and who probably think the same way you do.

OMG, the clips I've seen from this scare the crap out of me.

I just don't understand how someone can say all that, talk as if being against fascism is a bad thing, and it's almost as if he's trying to hint that all that Nazi trouble back in the day was one of these "iterations" of antifa.
