Just someone on the internet.
oh, there's a character in Just Cause 2 who pronounces it that way. Always wondered about that pronunciation.

I loved that first game. I never did get far into the second one. Wasn't in the mood for it at the time. One day I'll dive back into it. I think I have all of them on PC now.

Glad to hear Jeremy praising Brandish. I just played through it a few years ago and ended up loving it. I jumped right in to the Super Famicom sequel (thanks to a fan translation) and had a great time with that one too!

I ended up beating it a few years ago using a patch that made the controls like you say. Ideal for those last levels with insane jumps that require you to turn mid-jump. I just couldn't do it with the default control scheme with up = up-right.

I haven't played this particular game, but it's the same control scheme as Snake Rattle & Roll which I loved on the NES. Couldn't beat it as a kid; those last levels are insane.

I don't think so, but he definitely voted for them

One time I was at a movie with a friend in the early 90s and before the movie began he grabbed a handful of popcorn and threw it into the empty seats ahead of us. I was like "wtf, that sucks for the workers" and his response was "WHO CARES, IT'S THEIR JOB"
That memory sticks with me.

That was definitely a game better played with other people. I had a great time with it that way. It was fun cheesing the (non-DLC) bosses with the crissaegrim, especially if there were multiple players who had it. I wish Konami would bring it to PC.

It was the only MCU movie I owned on blu-ray until relatively recently. I did pick up Infinity War for $3 at a local library sale because hey, why not.

I think that, overall, they've been a net good.

I say this as someone who has been a regular on their forums for a long time. Most of the people on the forum don't even regularly read the comic anymore. I know I don't!

Sometimes I look through old IRC logs and wish I had logged more than just private conversations. My reasoning for not doing so was assuming I'd run out of space. I think I had a 1.2GB drive around that time.

...especially when they aired a promo TV documentary about the missing and one of the experts they interviewed was someone my brother recognized as his aikido instructor in Orlando.

I saw it pre-release in the best way possible: a bootleg VHS tape that a friend brought over. We were all in our early 20s and it freaked us out. It wasn't until the ramp up towards theatrical that I realized it was definitely fake....

Had more than enough the first round. :(

Looks like he's playing a Sega CD since I see one switched on in the cabinet. I can't identify the game, though.
