A ‘horror’ result for us now is a draw against the Champions not conceding a shot on target all game. A ‘disaster’ for us now is dropping 2pts that still keep us 6pts clear at the top of the table.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Send threats to referees and/or their family is totally unacceptable and I’d be happy for those “fans” to be punished.

The PGMOL needs an overhaul with the whole concept of refereeing in the uk needing a complete a rethink.

That language - "back up" - is so revealing. The fact that the VAR team are thinking of the question they are asked as "shall I back up the ref (my mate) or not" rather than "what is the right decision" explains so clearly why they get it wrong.

Newcastle fan Michael Oliver, who did paid work in the country that owns Man City, suspending an Arsenal player for games against both those sides with a farcical decision is corruption or bias. It is not incompetence.
