There might be more stuff than when you were here (though I’m not even 100% sure on that one) but the overall feeling is of a place that’s given up, that’s content to become a suburban ring with a hollow urban core.

It just feels dead. Post-Covid, no one leaves their house, businesses are shuttering and nothing’s taking their places, and the city has done pathetically little to address homelessness and housing. Streets are empty on any given weekend night in a way they just didn’t use to be.

It’s tuned pretty nicely so it take just long enough to solve that you feel like you’ve accomplished something but not so long that it’s just a slog *cough*spelling bee*cough*
