I think you are overestimating this spectacle. He might just want to create a stir. Get the attention on something else that the «boring» Epstein case. It is not going to lead to any more oil on the world market or any real regime change even if both of those things could be good.

I think Pete is on to something. It’s just a distraction. Some drama. No big oil plan or geo-political game. It can be a bit similar to the Clinton case, starting a war to distract from the cigar case. Trump wants to end the Epstein attention. Or he just wants to create a spectacular show.
