I wonder what would have caused a planet to end up in a polar orbit… Maybe it wasn’t originally part of the system? Or some funny gravitational interaction with the binary stars caused it to migrate over time?

Does that mean that Mars likely wouldn’t have lost its atmosphere if it had just been more massive giving it stronger gravity and a resulting higher escape velocity? I always found it fascinating how Earth seems to be in a Goldilocks zone in many ways, including its size (don’t tell Venus)
