Rather than building phrases, the music lingers on single gestures—bending pitches, fading attacks, and isolated breaths—creating a sense of suspended time. It resists momentum, drawing the listener into a space where sound seems to question its own presence.

Her work has been recognized by the Fromm, Koussevitzky, and Guggenheim Foundations, her music has been performed by the Jubal Trio, Parnassus, the Group for Contemporary Music, Speculum Musicae. Her work has been commissioned and performed by San Francisco Symphony and is published by C.F. Peters.
