Devlog #4 - Ideas!

I finally implemented ideas! Well- There are some things I still need to figure out. Ideas are meant to be a short capture so they should be able to literally just type and close, but I'm not sure how I'd like to handle empty titles yet.

I'm supposed to be posting a devlog soon but I've been studying for finals so there's nothing to post about.. wonder if I can whip something up real quick lol

I think I'm going crazy because I should be studying for my finals but I ended up modeling a sync engine for Pyxis that I think will genuinely be the best fit for that kind of specific structure of app. The idea is a implementation that informs the user of conflics rather than overwrites silently

Devlog #3.5 - I forgot to explain what project pyxis even is

I realized I have never explained anything aside from my first devlog. So, I'd like to explain it in this thread!

Pyxis is a task management app, based roughly on principles in the book GTD, though adapted to my own workflow.

Devlog #3 - Refactoring

I thought it'd be important to keep a streak of weekly devlogs, but this week has nothing I can show or talk about, because I focused quite a lot on refactoring the messy code that I wrote. Either way, this is my entry for this week!

Devlog #2 - Hiding What's Done, Tracking Ideas

I've ended up choosing to move the done tab into a dropdown menu in the bottom bar. It's really nice that it just kinda sits there out of the way so your dashboard isn't cluttered.

I just wiped all my data on Pyxis I think I should separate the environment I use for development and the one I use in daily life lol

Devlog #1 - Project Pyxis

I haven't ever done this before but I'll be documenting progress weekly (HOPEFULLY) from now on.

Pyxis, for context, is a locally based, but syncable through a granular file structure task management system that I'm working on. Here's a screenshot of current development

I'm building a new app that's a task management system that's local only but still plays nice if you wanna sync it with services like syncthing! It's been shaping up really nice so far and I'm enjoying using it on a daily basis because it's fast and quite snappy

I haven't been making anything and it pisses me off because the end of the semester is just project after project and none interest me honestly

Honestly nothing quite beats some late night lightweight programming with some jazz. It's just so comforting while being genuinely productive!
