Yes. But when we ask ourselves "who even are we?" Things tend to seem different. 'We' come from something deeper than just brain chemistry, 'we' come from the awareness that experiences existence. 'We' are a way for the universe to know itself.
I hope this make sense!

I want to know what's behind this. Is there any force guiding our conciousness? What made us aware of our existence? Is there any limit to how much we can know about ourselves?
