I thought I could use some humbling so I redid Balteus without OS tuning (except the one chip kick) and using only parts a new player can have by the time they fight Balteus. I S ranked it first try, so it turns out I really have gotten way better. I love armored core!

I keep going back to this kind of general look. But after testing so many different weapon setups and generator options it keeps being fine tuned and refined...

R.I.P.3/M is too cool, Karasawa + smg combo is too appealing. And the AC6 version of the KRSV just feels so much better to use than other energy rifles... so despite it basically making S ranks impossible I will swallow that pride. I know it would have been an S rank on LRB anyway.

Oh yeah my current PvP build is just a buff version of DOLL
This one feels even better to play, but I avoid parts like HAL and shade-eye in the campaign since it is a bit harder to justify 621 - Raven having access to them. No such honor in PvP however.

Trying a different setup for DOLL to make it more distinct from STARGAZER and also cause... I just found myself enjoying this a lot while testing.
Harris and zimmerman are always good weapons. MLT and laser orbit very reliable. Generator switch only to have enough energy output (also fashion).

My laptop is finally back! So two new AC builds to celebrate. DOLL and MANNEQUIN. DOLL is kind of how I normally play. MANNEQUIN is a bit of a laser gimmick build with the VE generator. It is fun and hits like a monster but it is more awkward to maneuver due to energy restrictions.

I hate that the twitter AI is named grok because it means I can't use the word for what it actually means anymore without it being confusing. I love that word, it is such a convenient word. Conveys a deep fundamental understanding really quickly. But now nobody gets it.

I have finished mobile suit gundam (1979) now. It was a really good show that still holds up well today, highly recommend. Iron Blooded Orphans is probably still my personal favorite gundam. The original series has such a good ending though part of me does not want to ruin it by watching later UC -

Ok if my math is right than an LRB with a VE20-B generator does more damage per shot than a pulse blade swing does at base (and if you like me prefer the tool arms, you get base damage on melee). This is regular shots, not charged. Of course it loses out on recharge to ming tang but it is appealing.

I use a lot of early game parts... so I decided to make a version of my AC using only chapter 1 parts. It looks a bit weird next to my standard build, but it still plays pretty well.

I always strive to have an "independent merc" look. Using parts that can feasibly be acquired by 621 in universe. It does mean certain very good parts I do enjoy the gameplay of are off the table but... it does feel very satisfying when the build still comes together. Sorry for spamming my builds XP

I also wish to highly recommend Scrapnik Island. It is part of the IDW comics (so in continuity with the games) but it is a standalone story that does not require any prior knowledge about the comics for it. Scrapnik Island is really good!
Older art but thinking about Sonic the Hedgehog: Scrapnik Island again and how much fun it was to color and design for.
If you haven't read it, it's a short 80 page horror story that doesn't require any prior sonic knowledge. If you like cool/hot/cute robots this one's for you.

I feel like a common mistake I see lots of players make is that they assume the pile bunker is only good for its charged attack. And while that is very impressive (highest single damage in the game) it has a perfectly good uncharged attack which is more reliable against ACs and LCs.
