Today's movie, Chasing the Dragon. Set in 1960s/1970s Hong Kong. My favorite part is when they go to Kowloon Walled City, and the soundtrack is a funk song where the only lyric is "the ghetto". It's so clumsily on the nose that is makes me laugh. #filmsky

Another reason pets are good for your mental health: i would still be in bed trying to sleep through the rest of the day so i could ignore this shitty world. Robert was relentless in his meowing & punching me in the nose with his paw so i would get up & feed him. Gotta keep going. No other choice.

Book haul. Took me a while to get @johnfugelsang.bsky.social's book b/c my local barnes & noble kept selling out. The clerk checking me out said how happy it makes him that they can't keep it on the shelves. As for Virginia Giuffre's book, may that brave, brave woman rest in peace. #booksky

Tonight's film is Hunt the Wicked, a cops vs gangsters gun fu story. Always nice to see Andy On pop up on my screen. He's a great martial artist (his fights with Jackie Chan in New Police Story were amazing), and has become a very charismatic actor as he's aged (imo). #filmsky #hkactionfilms
