I will never understand why some people are hell bent on experiencing difficult circumstances themselves in order to learn the lessons they could have learned by listening to others who have already been through it.

I'd say it is in fact time to stop mocking and memefying everything. Things are about to get so ugly and those who have enough power to act as "resistance" continue to be spineless.
Time to brave for impact and move ahead if you're still standing after the collision.

A group of news organizations is taking ChatGPT maker OpenAI to federal court on Tuesday in a hearing that could determine whether the tech company has to face the publishers in a high-profile copyright infringement trial.

Americans moving to Red Note in response to the Tiktok ban is the most fascinating thing I have seen in the last 5 years.

The media has focused on wealthy, White neighborhoods. But the fire in Altadena--a racially and economically diverse suburb--deserves more attention, because insurance may not cover their rebuilding costs, forcing families out and leading the neighborhood to gentrify.

I’ve gotten a lot of well-meaning replies about how misogynistic men in tech are the product of women’s rejection, and I have to point out that misogyny is systemic. Men who are married are misogynists and so are men who have never struggled to date. We live in a patriarchy that depends on it.

I just watched a video of a woman who set herself on fire in NYC in a subway cart and no one came to her aid. Not even the police who walked by her. Just people recording this incident as if it was a mundane occurrence.
