I don’t post very much. I don’t believe people listen, and I derive no pleasure from being smarmy or ironical.
But it’s the 4th of July, so here goes.
We are in a dark period of our history.
You already know the reasons why.
So enjoy your life. Stand up for your beliefs. Challenge fools.

On this day in baseball history the Fort Wayne Kekiongas defeated the Forest Citys of Cleveland 2- 0 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
This was the first ever game in organized pro baseball.
Bobby Mathews went the distance for Fort Wayne, scattering 4 hits.

@jay.bsky.team Loved the piece on you and Bluesky in the New Yorker. Not being a savvy datatician, I still get the sense that you are endeavoring to move things forward in a positive, non-mercenary manner.
Keep it up!

Big League Baseball completed its 153rd season this past October.

The pennant won by the Dodgers was their 13th for the city of Los Angeles, an impressive number when one considers that they started playing there as ‘recently’ as 1958, only 66 years ago.

The 7th World Series win for LA.
